New York City FC

NYCFC is in a similar position as DC United. They have yet to replace David Villa with a DP striker, and they have an abundance of good attacking options. Heber, Maxi Moralez, and Mitriță are all talented attacking threats, but when you have the chance to make that threat even better, you do it.

NYCFC have the unique possibility to run the exact same formation as DC could, if they brought in Suarez, with a 4-1-2-1-2 wide formation, and it would work perfectly. Being in New York City could also be a big draw for Suarez. NYCFC is in an interesting position right now, as they are still transitioning away from Andrea Pirlo, Frank Lampard, and David Villa. I think Luis Suarez could be that next star player in New York who gets people talking about NYCFC again.

New York Red Bulls

Our final submission to this list is the New York Red Bull. The club could use a brand new striker following the departure of club legend Bradley Wright-Phillips, and Luis Suarez could be that brand new big name DP that signifies the new beginnings of the club.

The Red Bull could also use a boost up top, and Suarez would surely help with that. Being in New York will also help boost their case as they could attempt to incentivize him with living in the New York area, playing time, a competent roster, and an actual soccer field (something the other New York club doesn’t have).

Whether Suarez would choose New York over an LA or Miami, remains to be seen, but the Red Bulls could make a lot of sense.
