2. Yordy Reyna

Vancouver Whitecaps came into their final game of the MLS is Back group stages knowing that they had to win by at least two goals and thanks to a wonderful super-sub performance from Yordy Reyna, they did exactly that.

Their final group game came against Chicago Fire in the rescheduled clash after the Fire had been moved Group A to Group B following the withdrawals of both Nashville SC and FC Dallas pre-tournament.

The match itself was split into three parts, as the second half was interrupted due to the first rain delay of the tournament in Orlando. After the break, Vancouver came out like a different side, and scored twice in the space of seven minutes, with Reyna having a hand in both.

The Peruvian forward put his name on the scoresheet just two minutes after play restarted. He was sent through by Ali Adnan and calmly took the ball around the on-rushing Kenneth Kronholm before slotting the ball home, giving the Whitecaps the lead.

Reyna then turned provider just minutes later, as he put the ball on a plate for Cristian Dajome to double the lead and put Vancouver in the position they needed to qualify as a wild-card team. They held on to the 2-0 win to seal 3rd spot in Group B, with Reyna the stand out performer.
