2. Andy Najar to make his debut?
One of LAFC’s most recent arrivals could make his debut in this match. Bob Bradley may end up playing Andy Najar as a substitute against the Timbers. This week, he told reporters that the right-back is not yet ready to be in the starting XI but could feature off the bench:

"“I think Andy for the first time, will be available for some minutes. He won’t start, he’s not ready for 60-90 minutes. I think the number is more in the 20-30 minute range.”"
Najar would be a welcome addition for LAFC. Clean sheets have been hard to come by as the backline has yet to deliver one since the first match of the MLS season against Inter Miami. The defense has also shuffled around a little, with Tristan Blackmon moving to right-back. With Walker Zimmerman departing in the offseason, he could move into center-back upon Najar’s eventual inclusion.
While he will only feature as a substitute on Thursday, Najar could yet play his way into the starting XI if he is able to impress. And given the slight vulnerabilities of LAFC’s backline thus far, adding an experienced member to the group would only further their claim as the best team in MLS.
