1. Group D winner could be decided

This match could be the deciding fixture in Group D. Whoever wins will be left with six points and a spot atop the group. For the winners, a draw in their last group stage fixture would be all that is needed to secure the group and the top spot.

A loss for either club might put them into a difficult spot entering the final matchday. If either Sporting KC or the Colorado Rapids win, the losing team is right back into the thick of things and could possibly slip to third. This group appeared to be wide open from the start and it could remain that way up until the last matchday.

If the match ends in a stalemate, both RSL and Minnesota should have enough points to make it to the knockout rounds. Four points should put them into the top four third-place teams. This scenario would leave the door wide open for SKC or the Rapids to still possibly win the group or take second place, however.
