1. Nani
He left it late, but Orlando CIty’s Portuguese star saved the day. Nani scored the winner in their clash with Inter Miami, the first match of the MLS is Back tournament, to give the Lions the top spot in Group A after the first round of fixtures.
After Inter Miami opened the scoring, Nani started to make his influence on the game known. He set up Chris Mueller for the tying goal after a burst of speed took him past a defender down the left, before he rifled a cross into the box. And then he provided the moment of the opening week.
In the seventh minute of added time, the Portuguese DP broke the deadlock. The ball fell to Nani ten yards out and with only Luis Robles to beat, the former Manchester United man obliged.
His goal gave Orlando the victory and propelled them to the top of Group A. They have since gone on to win their second match to book their place in the knockout stages.
