Vancouver Whitecaps

2019 Record: 12th in Western Conference

2020 Results: 3-1 loss vs. Sporting Kansas City; 1-0 win @ LA Galaxy

Head Coach: Marc Dos Santos

Projected Starters: Maxime Crepeau; Jakob Nerwinski, Derek Cornelius, Erik Godoy, Ali Adnan; Cristian Dajome, Hwang In-beom, Russell Teibert, David Milinkovic; Lucas Cavallini; Tosaint Ricketts

What form of the Vancouver Whitecaps will show up in Orlando? The one that got dominated at home by another team that missed the playoffs last season or the one that kept Javier Hernandez off the scoresheet in Los Angeles? This club is the biggest question mark in this group. They may look like an easy three points, but looks can be deceiving.

This appears to be a balanced team but it also does rely heavily on the midfield prowess of Hwang In-beom. If he is in form, the players higher up the field will get plenty of opportunities and the defense will grow in confidence.

There are also plenty of attacking options that could potentially start between CanMNT players Lucas Cavallini and Tosaint Ricketts, Peruvian import Yordy Reyna, and an MLS veteran in Fredy Montero returning from his European adventure. Underestimate the Whitecaps at your peril.
