In his few seasons with Berlin, he had 14 goals in 64 appearances, but despite original success, he was let go after the first half of the 2014- 2015 season, and that was when NYCFC swooped him up.
Unfortunately, despite expectations, Nemec’s deficient form continued with the Pigeons. Like Amagat, he had no goals or assists in his short time with the club and was extremely poor in performance. Next to David Villa, he did not look like he should be starting, let alone on the bench. Injury problems led to missed games and he soon lost his starting position.
Nemec was one of the first players NYCFC fans despised to see on the pitch. His flat performances led to calls for him not to play. Then, before the season could even end, the club and Nemec mutually agreed to part ways in August.
After his time in the United States, Nemec found success with Dinamo București and Pafos FC. But his time with New York City FC is truly forgettable. He was, without doubt, a wasted signing.
