The Seattle Sounders enjoyed a terrific decade. Two MLS Cups, three MLS Cup appearances, immense success in the domestic cup competitions and regular season. But who were the players crucial to the past decade. Here, we look at the best starting XI over the past ten years. We consider the players’ contribution to the Sounders as well as longevity and loyalty to the club. Most players will be picked based on how they performed for the Sounders and not on what they have done for other clubs in their career.

Goalkeeper
Stefan Frei
Arguably the greatest goalkeeper in Major League Soccer history, Stefan Frei joined Seattle in 2014 and has been a rock between the posts for the club, helping them to several MLS Cup wins. Frei has contributed 61 clean sheets in his time at the club and this gives him the nod in goal. Frei is well known for his spectacular saves and clutch performances, as well as that save against Toronto FC in the 2016 MLS Cup.
