3. Weston McKennie

Schalke’s Weston McKennie returns in his club’s quest to retain Europa League qualification.

More from MLS Multiplex

The top five clubs have distanced themselves from the rest of the Bundesliga which has resulted in a race for sixth place for the remaining clubs. Four clubs are within five points of catching Schalke in sixth place. It should be an entertaining battle for this final European position.

McKennie is going to be relied on to give the club big performances in the weeks to come. The midfielder is a regular in the starting XI and has been one of the key players for Schalke. He scored a goal in Schalke’s last fixture before the postponement of the season, while offensive creativity and in the final third has been problematic for Schalke since the turn of the year.

There may still be more goals to come for McKennie in the upcoming matches. He has spoken about feeling revitalised under David Wagner and he will be hoping to end the season on a high.
