Here is one player to sign on FIFA 20 Career Mode from every MLS club, some of which offer great potential as they mature into their primes.

In the absence of live soccer, FIFA 20 and Football Manager 2020 are appealing to fill the void left behind. Today, we are focusing on FIFA 20 Career Mode. By now, you are likely familiar with the top wonderkids to sign from other clubs in Europe, but there are some worthwhile players in Major League Soccer to invest in, too.

With that in mind, here is one player from each MLS club to sign on FIFA Career Mode. Some will be able to help right away for sides challenging for the Champions League and the Europa League. Others are longer-term investments that could pay off big time when starting with a smaller club, perhaps in a lower division.

Note 1: Value and Wages are expressed in Euros, the default and most commonly used currency setting in career mode.

Note 2: Inter Miami CF and Nashville SC are not programmed in FIFA 20 since they were not active in the 2019 season.

Now, without further ado, let’s see which player from each team is worth your consideration.

Atlanta United: Ezequiel Barco

Country: Argentina

Position: LW/ST

Age: 20

Starting Rating: 74

Potential: 85

Value: 9.5 million

Wage: 7K/week

Release Clause: 16.2 million

A few editions of FIFA ago, Ezequiel Barco was a popular signing choice while he was based at Independiente in the Argentine Primera Division. His career is thought to have stagnated a bit at Atlanta United despite winning an MLS Cup in 2018. Because of that, his base potential has taken a hit, but at 21 years old, his starting rating gives him plenty of promise and the ability to contribute at a top European club.

Chicago Fire: Djordje Mihailovic

Country: USA

Position: CAM/CM/CDM

Age: 20

Starting Rating: 67

Potential: 80

Value: 1.5 million

Wage: 2K/week

Release Clause: 3.2 million

Djordje Mihailovic is expected to help the Chicago Fire turn the corner and fill a void in midfield left by the retired Bastian Schweinsteiger. His ability to play in any of the three central midfield positions means he is a value signing for any club looking to bolster their midfield.

Colorado Rapids: Cole Bassett

Country: USA

Position: CM

Age: 17

Starting Rating: 62

Potential: 80

Value: 600K

Wage: 500/week

Release Clause: 1.3 million

The Colorado Rapids came close to reaching the playoffs in 2019, and if Cole Bassett can develop into the player FIFA believes he can be, that will certainly help them close the game next season. At 17 years old, Bassett is a player you can acquire cheaply in your first season and see him grow throughout the maximum 15 years a save file is allotted in FIFA 20 career mode.

Columbus Crew SC: Luis Diaz

Country: Costa Rica

Position: RM

Age: 20

Starting Rating: 69

Potential: 78

Value: 1.6 million

Wage: 3K/week

Release Clause: 2.7 million

The list of Costa Ricans to contribute to European clubs is pretty short behind the likes of Keylor Navas, Bryan Ruiz, and Joel Campbell, but maybe Luis Diaz of the Columbus Crew could add another good player to that list. Fulham fans have fewer fond memories of Bryan Ruiz than they do with Clint Dempsey, so this could be a chance to rewrite that history.

Country: USA

Position: CDM/CM/RB

Age: 24

Starting Rating: 72

Potential: 79

Value: 4 million

Wage: 5K/week

Release Clause: 6.8 million

D.C. United have developed many USMNT players such as Paul Arriola and Bill Hamid, and Russell Canouse could receive his first senior call-up if he continues to play well in the nation’s capital. With 15 caps at the U-20 level, Canouse’s versatility can help fill various needs in the quest of building a deep and talented squad.
