3. Kaka

The only Ballon d’Or winner to make this list is the legend that is Kaka, who spent the last three seasons of his professional footballing career with Orlando City SC.

More from MLS Multiplex

Having spent the majority of his career in Europe’s top leagues with Milan and Real Madrid, World Cup winner Kaka signed for Orlando City ahead of their debut campaign in the league in 2015.

Unfortunately for fans of the new expansion side, the squad as a whole was not good enough to be challenging for postseason action, even with the world-class talent of Kaka as their main playmaker.

The Brazilian played for the Lions for three seasons, scoring 24 goals and tallying 22 assists in that time, before eventually retiring from football at the age of 35 following the conclusion of the 2017 term. He was nominated to the MLS All-Star team in each of his three seasons in Major League Soccer and was the MVP of the All-Star Game in 2015.
