USMNT, Gio Reyna

3. Giovani Reyna

It might seem a little ambitious to include a teenager who has only played 205 minutes in his senior career, but Giovani Reyna is a unique case. The 17-year-old was accelerated into the Borussia Dortmund first-team squad earlier this season, has already made eight league appearances, and even made his Champions League debut in the knockout stages against Paris Saint-Germain no less.

Reyna will not be a starter for the USMNT just yet. He needs to play regularly at a domestic level before he can be considered a genuine option on the international stage. However, his inclusion in the squads would be wise, even if it might seem harsh on the likes of Brenden Aaronson and Cristian Roldan.

Reyna is the future of the USMNT. And just like Chrisitan Pulisic before him, it would be wise to invest in his long-term development, even at this early stage. Pulisic will not turn 22 until September and he already has 34 caps. That type of international experience is invaluable. Reyna can now be the next benefactor.
