Giovani dos Santos signed with the Los Angeles Galaxy in July 2015. After years of rumours, he eventually made the MLS switch and would play for the team for three-and-a-half years.
In his two full seasons with the club, dos Santos was nominated to the MLS All-Star team in appreciation for his efforts with the Galaxy. The former was his best season with the side, scoring 14 and assisting 12 in just 28 regular-season matches. The Mexican helped the Galaxy into the postseason that year as well, adding a goal and an assist in the MLS Cup playoffs before they lost out to Colorado Rapids on penalties in the Western Conference semi-finals.
Before the start of the 2019 season, the Mexican left the club. He finished his time in MLS with 27 goals and 24 assists in 81 matches, including four postseason games.
