2. Tim Weah

Tim Weah has played 84 minutes of football this season. It has been a terribly frustrating campaign for the young striker, who only signed with Lille for $11.37 million last summer in a move that seemed set to catapult him into the senior footballing landscape. That, obviously, has not happened, but injuries will pass and it is important to remember why Weah impressed Lille so much in the first place.

Developing through the Paris Saint-Germain set-up, there was always hope that Weah would thrive. Across 17 youth and senior games, he scored five goals for PSG. Weah then moved to Celtic on a six-month loan in January 2018. He scored three goals and added one assist in only 354 Scottish Premier League minutes.

Weah is explosively fast, can play through the middle or out wide, has a knack for scoring goals, and can still turn into a useful attacker in a top-five European league. He just needs health and a good run of games. If he gets them, expect him to make the USMNT plane to the 2022 World Cup and then some.
