PSV did not sign USMNT prospect Richie Ledezma to a two-year extension for nothing.

More from MLS Multiplex

Admittedly, the creative attacking midfielder is yet to play a senior minute of football bar in the USL, but the Dutch side exercised a two-year extension clause in his contract after signing him from the excellent Real Salt Lake Academy in 2018.

Since moving to PSV, Ledezma has slowly worked his way up the pecking order. He played 25 games for the under-21s this season, scoring four goals and adding three assists, and has been tipped to one day break into the PSV first team, potentially as soon as next season.

Ledezma will turn 20 in September so he does need to settle at a club where he can more frequently at the senior level, but he is hugely talented and the Eredivisie is the ideal league for a young attacking player to learn his trade and develop. There is a long way to go, of course, but Ledezma has intriguing some highly intriguing qualities.
