The first person to make our list of the best five Dutchman to have ever played in Major League Soccer is former Philadelphia Union midfielder Roland Alberg.

Alberg joined Philadelphia Union ahead of the 2016 campaign, and played for the club for two campaigns, helping them into the post-season in his first year with the side. Overall, the Dutchman scored 16 goals and assisted four others in 52 regular-season matches for the club, as well as featuring in a playoff game in 2016.

He left MLS following the end fo the 2017 season, and has since gone on to play for CSKA Sofia and Panionios before joining Roda JC back in his native Netherlands, where he has scored five times in just 13 league games before the suspension of football worldwide.
