1. Rodolfo Pizarro

Without a doubt, Rodolfo Pizarro’s addition to Inter Miami will go down as the most impressive piece of business down by the expansion team. Despite not being the “star” many fans wanted, the 26-year-old Mexican has shown he’s more than capable of bringing the flair and flashiness to the South Floridian club.

Against LAFC, Pizarro was the standout in a rather one-sided game for Inter Miami. He completed 79% of his passes and had a total of four shots. Even though Miami lost the match, Pizarro managed to have an impact on the pitch, using his bursts of speed and technical ability on the ball to slither past defenders, which inevitably led to him being the most fouled man on the pitch.

In the game against D.C., Pizarro gave a Man of the Match-worthy performance. The midfielder completed 83% of his passes, scored a goal, and created two chances. Pizarro, alongside Lewis Morgan, dictated the tempo of the match, keeping D.C. on the back foot even until the final whistle.

While the world isn’t sure when professional soccer will return, Inter Miami has a lot of positives to take going forward.  They’ve got a young squad, a quality manager, and a front office willing to spend money, and players making a positive impact, even if the results have not arrived yet. It is, then, only a matter of time before the entire thing comes together.
