2. Bradley Wright-Phillips

The best English forward to ever feature in Major League Soccer currently sits in seventh on the all-time scoring charts for the league, and he comes in at number two on our list of the best Englishman.

After a loan spell with Brentford, Bradley Wright-Phillips made the move to MLS, joining the New York Red Bulls in 2013. He went on to feature more than 200 times for the club, and he is one of just 11 players to have scored a century of goals in the regular season and one of four foreign imports. Only Jaime Moreno and Kei Kamara have scored more than him when it comes to non-Americans.

The Englishman was the MLS Golden Boot winner in both 2014 and 2016, in which he scored 27 in 32 and 24 in 34 respectively. He was also named to the MLS Best XI in both of those seasons, along with being a member of the MLS All-Star team twice, in 2014 and 2018.

After an injury-hit 2019, where he could only manage two starts during the regular-season, Wright-Phillips signed for Los Angeles FC ahead of the 2020 campaign. He will look to add to his tally, continuing his record as the best English forward in the 25-year history of Major League Soccer.
