1. Gadi Kinda/Alan Pulido

It has been quite the start to the season for Sporting Kansas City. I really wanted to only include Alan Pulido on this list. He was questioned by some prior to his arrival from Liga MX. Claims that he was only an average Liga MX striker who hit good form for just one season were prevalent.

So far, he has two goals, a lovely assist, has shown a tremendous work-rate as SKC’s all-action number nine, and is proving those who doubted his resume drastically wrong. But I also could not leave out Gadi Kinda, a central midfielder who has provided energy, impetus and technical quality in Kansas City.

Kinda, like Pulido, also has two goals to his name, the second of which was assisted by Pulido as SKC counter-attacked. But his overall play has been equally as impressive, conducting possession beautifully, showing terrific intelligence and awareness as he bounces from space to space. And then he has the burst, the athleticism and the technical skill to exploit those areas.

Sporting KC look like a new team in 2020. And a large factor is the form of their two new superstars. In the end, I couldn’t leave either off the list.
