Luckily for D.C., they were able to get a goal from a set-piece: a 59th-minute corner kick that was converted by Russell Canouse with a far-post volley.
Looking at Inter Miami’s defensive stats against LAFC, D.C. will probably struggle against a well-drilled Miami backline. The upside is that Inter Miami plays very aggressively, especially at set-pieces. If they get it wrong, there will be room to exploit, especially from freekicks with space in behind a high defensive line.
For La Rosa Negra, they will have to be on the lookout for United’s knack for corners and freekicks. If the fouling gets out of hand for Miami, look for Gressel, Kamara or Flores to punish them for sloppy mistakes.
