2. Another clean sheet

Not a single goal has been allowed by the USWNT in 2020.

More from MLS Multiplex

This was one of the things to watch for entering this match as England were able to score against the Americans last summer in the World Cup while notching two in last year’s SheBelieves Cup. If there was any team that was ready to break the U.S.’ defensive dominance this year, it was England.

Keeping another clean sheet is a huge result as the U.S. continue to perform well defensively. Goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher had a great performance. She made a huge save in the second half to deny Nikita Parris a goal to bring England back into the match.

The U.S. have offensive talent unlike any other team in the world. They will always be intensely dangerous when pushing forward. If they can now ally that with defensive stability at the back, they could be set for a truly historic year.
