Seattle Sounders vs. Columbus Crew

The reigning champion Seattle Sounders come in on the top five MLS games to watch this week thanks to both their supreme quality and the potential of their opponent. The Sounders snatched a win against the Chicago Fire with a 93rd-minute winner, and the Columbus Crew pose another extremely challenging task.

The Crew arrive with three points as well. They overcame New York City FC, who went down to ten men after just three minutes, and while they could only manage a single goal, showed some progress under Caleb Porter. They will be disappointed not to have created more given their man advantage, but potential for growth is ripe.

The Crew also have the historical advantage. The two sides have played each other once a year for the past six years. The Crew have the better record, winning three of those most recent six clashes. The Sounders were victorious in 2019 thanks to Nicolas Lodeiro brace. As the defending champions, Seattle will be aiming to continue their good form with another three points this week, but the Crew will be no easy out.
