1. Daryl Dike
Another offseason arrival for Orlando City — and someone who Oscar Pareja will be looking to for goals — is Daryl Dike. Orlando City struggled for goals last season, relying of Nani (12) to scrape them through a lot of games. But Dike is a proven goalscorer at the college level and could take after the recent successes of Andre Shinyashiki and Mason Toye in MLS.
The 19-year-old was a first-round draft pick last month but was already signed onto a Generation Adidas contract. He has experience with the Virginia Cavaliers and OKC Energy U23s and will now get his first taste of MLS soccer in Orlando.
Like with DeZart, expectations for a SuperDraft pick are always a little subdued, but Orlando City are lacking an out-and-out goal-scorer and Dike could well fill that void should he impress in the early running.
Orlando City have a roster of well-known MLS players and a few stars. But there are other players to keep an eye on, that, if they come good, could be huge for the Lions throughout the 2020 season.
