1. CenturyLink Field goes cashless

Depending on your source, it is believed only around eight percent of the world’s currency is now physical. With this in mind, the latest decision by the powers that be at CenturyLink Field to move to an entirely cashless system comes as little surprise.

As reported by USA Today Sports, cash transactions will no longer be accepted at CenturyLink Field. Of course, this includes matches featuring the Sounders. This decision applies, whether it is connected to concessions, retail purchases or parking payments. As per USA Today Sports, the move has been made to speed up transaction times and improve efficiency.

Upon hearing this announcement, our immediate concern related to those people who still prefer to or rely on using cash, but thankfully this has been accounted for. There will be 10 free-to-use cash-to-credit kiosks around CenturyLink Field which will convert any amount of physical money to a prepaid card which can be used throughout the stadium.
