The club also has three Generation Adidas stars, the Ghanaian duo of Francis Atuahene and Ema Twumasi, and American youngster John Nelson, all of which will be present in the Dallas roster in 2020.

Transfers & SuperDraft Picks

FC Dallas saw six players leave in the offseason, including Ghanaian forward Edwin Gyasi, whose loan spell from PFC CSKA Sofia ended following the conclusion of the 2019 campaign. Three other members of last year’s squad were out of contract following the end of last season, with Eric Alexander, Moises Hernandez and Cristian Colman all leaving the Texan side.

Senegalese forward Dominique Badji was traded to MLS newcomers Nashville SC for allocation money, while midfielder Jacori Hayes will feature for Minnesota United this season, with the Loons sending FC Dallas a 2021 SuperDraft pick for the American.

Fafa Picault arrived Dallas as the club’s marquee signing. The midfielder makes the move to Texas from Philadelphia. FC Dallas brought two more players in from elsewhere, Brazilian midfielder Thiago Santos from Palmeiras and Argentinian forward Franco Jara from CF Pachuca once the Liga MX campaign has come to its conclusion, along with seeing 21-year-old defender Eddie Munjoma graduate from the FCD Academy ahead of the 2020 campaign.

FCD selected six players in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft, having acquired an extra two picks ahead of the draft. They took the 17th overall pick from D.C. United after a trade in May and acquired the 79th overall pick from Inter Miami in a trade just a few days before the SuperDraft took place.

The Texan club picked Seattle defender Nkosi Burgess with the 14th pick, Central Florida forward Cal Jennings with the 17th, and then closed out their draft with a midfield trio of Manuel Ferriol, Were Waldeck and Aidan Megally, and Saint Mary’s College winger Anders Engebretsen.
