Portland Timbers Vs Inter Miami CF

Providence Park; Sunday, August 16th; 6:00 PM

Inaugural meetings are always exciting but with any new club, it’s also hard to know what to expect. Inter Miami CF doesn’t have a complete roster just yet but they just hired a head coach in Diego Alonso who brings a multitude of experience and proven success abroad.

The club brought in moral talent in the MLS Superdraft on Thursday when they took Robbie Robinson (Clemson) and Dylan Nealis (Georgetown) with the first and third picks, but many have their eyes on Miami as some big promises were made before the offseason.

Quite how competitive Inter Miami will be in their first season remains to be seen. Will they be more Atlanta United or Minnesota United? Either way, their first trip to Providence Park will be intriguing, to say the least.
