2. Seattle vs. Toronto

It’s been an exciting few seasons for the Seattle Sounders and Toronto FC. After a third MLS Cup Final in four years in 2019, how will this year’s match unfold? Both teams are looking to get back to the MLS Cup final and cement their legacies in MLS. Beating the other in the regular season will only help along the way.

Toronto host Seattle on July 18 at BMO Field in what should be a rip-roaring affair. The timing of the match is somewhat poor, with the CONMEBOL Copa America and Euro 2020 wrapping up just six days prior. Seattle figures to lose a couple of players to these tournaments, while Toronto may lose a handful of US and Canada internationals if there are matches during that window.

MLS teams will also be dealing with the summer transfer window and the slog of games that comes in the middle of the summer. This will surely have an effect, too. Fans of both teams and neutrals alike will hope the game features most of the starters on either side, despite the many obstacles these teams could face in July.

In what seems like a missed opportunity, this match will not be televised on national television, despite the intriguing storylines surrounding it.
