1. Nicolas Lodeiro

Raul Ruidiaz may have got a double on the day for the Sounders, but it was their midfield playmaker that shone even brighter to take our number one spot for Conference Finals week.

Nicolas Lodeiro has consistently been Seattle’s star man throughout the 2019 campaign and he produced one of his best performances ever in MLS on Tuesday night, playing a hand in all three goals as the Sounders got the better of LAFC.

After they went behind to the Supporters’ Shield winners, the Uruguayan midfielder took control of the game, firstly with a pass fizzed into Ruidiaz, who was able to turn and score to equalise. Lodeiro then found the net himself as he took the ball at the edge of the penalty area and fired past Tyler Miller to make it 2-1 to the visitors.

The midfielder, who has played 60 times for his country, then assisted the third goal as well, as his pass into Ruidiaz saw the Peruvian forward get his second of the night. Lodeiro now has two goals and four assists in three postseason games for the Sounders in 2019.
