USMNT abroad: Christian Pulisic dazzles for Chelsea
By Daniel Garza
Christian Pulisic’s performance against Burnley was the top headline this weekend for Chelsea as the American recorded his first career Premier League hat-trick. Here is an update of all the USMNT players from around the world.
This weekend was a monumental moment in the career of U.S. Men’s National Team star Christian Pulisic. The 21-year-old midfielder registered his first Premier League hat-trick for Chelsea against Burnley.
His two first-half goals and eventual third goal would pave the way to a 4-2 victory for Frank Lampard’s team. After a sour start to the year in which playing opportunities have been hard to come by, such a sensational display is vital to Pulisic’s long prospects at Stamford Bridge.
Pulisic also helped set up the match-winning goal mid-week for Chelsea against Ajax in the UEFA Champions League. Then this hat-trick truly capped off one of the best weeks of his career to date. More importantly, his offensive display will most likely lead to more appearances down the line in the first team.
This was only the second hat-trick by an American player in the Premier League, the last time by Clint Dempsey in 2012. Pulisic has stepped up his game immensely after returning from the October international break, which is good news for the USMNT with upcoming November matches in the CONCACAF Nations League.

Emmanuel Sabbi scored the lone goal for Hobro in a 1-1 draw with Silkeborg in the Danish top flight. His goal came just three minutes into the match. Sergino Dest registered an assist for Ajax in their 4-0 win over Feyenoord. The defender is expected to make his decision regarding his international future in the coming days.
