1. Jordan Morris

There was only one man that could be named as our top performer from the first round of the playoffs. Jordan Morris scored a hat-trick for Seattle, including the extra-time game-winning goal in their 4-3 victory over FC Dallas.

The Sounders scored twice in the first quarter of their clash against the Texan side at CenturyLink Field on Saturday afternoon, with Raul Ruidiaz opening the scoring. Morris, the newly-named MLS Comeback Player of the Year, following his horrific injury last term, then doubled the hosts’ lead four minutes later.

He then bagged his second of the night with a quarter of an hour to go, making it 3-2, and eventually scored the winner in the 113th minutes after the visitors failed to clear the ball away from their penalty area.

Morris has been fabulous all year long, and this was just a culmination of a year’s worth of excellent work. In this form, he and his Sounders teammates will be a dangerous opponent for any team.
