Front Three
Jordan Morris – 9.5
Jordan Morris assisted both of McKennie’s opening two goals of the game, getting free down the wing before whipping in a pair of quality crosses. Got a goal of his own soon after, cooly slotting home from close range. Morris assisted once again before the half, laying off a pass to Sargent for the striker to slide home from the edge of the penalty area. His night ended a little early when he was subbed off at half-time, but Morris will still be more than happy with his superb performance.
Josh Sargent – 8.0
Involved early on, Josh Sargent’s hold-up play helped the USMNT keep the ball in the final third at the start of the contest. He eventually got his goal in the 40th minute, drilling a low shot into the bottom corner. He would’ve been disappointed how the contest ended, however, as Sargent skied a shot in the final moments. The 19-year-old still has a lot to learn but Berhalter will still be happy with what he saw from Sargent tonight.
Christian Pulisic – 8.0
Deservedly captaining the team, Christian Pulisic was quality as per usual, dancing past Cuban defenders on several occasions. It was clear Pulisic wanted to either score or assist, which lead to him forcing things at times. He eventually did get on the scoresheet, winning and then converting a penalty at the hour mark. That would be his last act of the contest before making way for Lletget moments later. The U.S. will need him to be at his best against Canada so getting Pulisic some extra rest will do all parties involved a world of good.
