2. FC Dallas

For the first time in the 2019 campaign, FC Dallas scored six in a game. They did so with a playoff place on the line. The Texan side hosted Sporting Kansas City on Decision Day knowing that they had to win to have any chance of securing a spot in the playoffs. And they won big!

They started early on Sunday, with Zdenek Ondrasek opening the scoring inside the first ten minutes after a long ball forward from Bryan Acosta. It became two just moments later as Matt Hedges was able to double the lead.

After going in 2-0 up at the break, the hosts then scored twice in the first ten minutes of the second half, with Santiago Mosquera and Michael Barrios getting on the scoresheet. Ondrasek then bagged his second of the game halfway through the second half, before Jesus Ferreira made it 6-0 with a quarter of an hour left in the game.

With the victory, FCD secured their spot in the 2019 MLS Cup playoffs, and they will now travel to Seattle for their first round clash next week. They did what they needed to on Sunday to get in, now how far can they actually go into the post-season?
