3. Alberth Elis

The second Houston star to be on our list of top ten performances across MLS on Decision Day is Alberth Elis after the winger scored once and assisted two other goals on Sunday afternoon against the Galaxy.

Houston had already been eliminated from playoff contention but they came out with purpose on Sunday against LA. It was Elis’ effort that cannoned off the post. It fell to the feet of Christian Ramirez, who finished to level the scores.

The Honduran winger then got himself own the scoresheet in the second half to level the match again with a lovely half-volley into the bottom corner. He finally assisted the final two goals that the Dynamo scored at the weekend, including Ramirez’s game-winner with seven minutes to play and Memo Rodriguez’s game-icing strike.
