MLS: 5 things you may have missed from Decision Day

2. Galaxy leak goals again
The Los Angeles Galaxy are in the playoffs and Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristian Pavon are firing on all cylinders. It’s all good, right? Well, not quite. After their embarrassing home defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps last week, the Galaxy once again posted a loss, going down 4-2 away to the Houston Dynamo, who also said goodbye to the retiring DaMarcus Beasley.
Zlatan opened the scoring in the ninth minute and Pavon put them back ahead on 54 minutes but, once again, Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s side were absolutely useless in defence and fell to a fourth defeat in seven games.
No side to have qualified for this season’s play-offs have conceded more goals than the Galaxy’s 59 so far, while it’s 10 games since they last kept a clean sheet. Even with Ibrahimovic’s big-game appetite, that brittle backline may just be their undoing in the postseason. An away trip to Minnesota to kick things off is anything but the cakewalk it used to be.
