Winner – Sean Johnson
Give credit to Sean Johnson for that second penalty save, though. The 30-year-old quickly learned his lesson from Pozuelo’s first penalty, wised up to the Spaniard’s run up and read his second effort perfectly.

Furthermore, as the game went on and Toronto took control, Johnson was called into action more and more. As has been the case so many times over the years, though, he was up to the task and ensured NYCFC took something from the game.

In the grand scheme of things, with NYCFC’s playoff place all but secured, losing out here wouldn’t have meant too much. However, draws like these could mean the difference between winning the Eastern Conference or finishing second, while Johnson’s stable presence can only breath confidence into the back four ahead of him.
