Roldan played for the Washington Huskies during his time at university there and helped lead the team to the Pac-12 title in 2013. In two years with the team, he tallied ten goals and seven assists in 41 appearances. During his time at university, Roldan also played for the Washington Crossfire in the Premier Development League before making the move to MLS.
He was drafted by Seattle, who took the midfielder with the 16th overall pick in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, and has since gone on to play over 150 times for the club in his five seasons in the Northwest.
Roldan helped the side to lift the 2016 MLS Cup, and then a year later, the midfielder made his international debut for the USMNT. He was part of the side that won the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2017, with his international debut coming in one of their group games at the tournament. Roldan continues to play his football in Seattle and has now made over 150 appearances for the Rave Green.
