The second striker for NYCFC that day was Slovakian forward Adam Nemec. He played nine times for the club before leaving the side halfway through the season.

Nemec began his professional career with Dubnica, before spending three seasons with Žilina, where he won the Slovak Super Liga in 2007. The Slovakian made his international debut in 2006, but it was seven years before he managed to nail down a permanent place in the squad. He now has 13 goals in 42 appearances for the national side.

He then spent a season at Genk, where he helped the club to lift the Belgian Cup, before lifting the 2. Bundesliga with Kaiserslautern a year later. After three seasons with the club, he then had a short spell with Ingolstadt, before signing for Union Berlin in 2012. He scored 14 times in 64 games for the club before making the move to MLS.

Nemec signed for NYCFC ahead of their debut campaign in the league but failed to score in any of his nine appearances. He moved to Willem II midway through the 2015 season. After a two-year spell with Dinamo Bucuresti, where he won the Cupa Ligii, he made the move to Cyprus, signing for Pafos. He led the league in goals scored in the 2018-19 campaign, with 16 goals in 28 appearances.
