MLS: Top 5 performances from Week 24

Since winning the MLS Cup in 2017, Toronto FC have not been the power they once were. Last year, they failed to qualify for the playoffs, having won it all the year before. This year, they seem to be struggling once more, and had it not been for a stoppage-time equaliser from Jozy Altidore on Saturday evening, the Canadian side would have fallen further away from the red line.

The 2017 treble-winners led at the halfway mark though, thanks to an Altidore assist setting up Jonathan Osorio to open the scoring. However, from there, the Crew seemed to take over. The striker scored his 70th career MLS regular-season goal as the clock hit 90:00. His header, bulleted home from the edge of the six-yard-box from a lovely Auro delivery, gave TFC a point in their push for post-season soccer.
Altidore now has ten goals on the season, to go with four assists, and with Toronto sitting outside the playoffs because of the Impact’s ten wins to their nine, they will be looking for more goals from their talisman to help them into the post-season.
