CM – Juninho – LA Galaxy

The only man to still play for the Galaxy five years after their last MLS Cup triumph is Brazilian midfielder Juninho. The defensive-minded player appeared in all 39 games league the Galaxy played, including starting in all five playoff games on their run to the title in 2014.

Like others in the side, his youth career started with São Paulo, but he would only make a single professional appearance before signing on loan for Toledo. He signed for the Galaxy on loan in 2010, playing for the club for three seasons before signing a permanent deal at the start of the 2013 campaign.

In his loan spell, he was influential in the side winning back-to-back MLS Cups in 2011 and 2012, before then scoring the winning goal in the Western Conference final in the 2014 campaign, after he had transferred to LA permamently.

After winning three MLS Cups in four seasons with the Galaxy, he spent another year with the club before making the move south of the border, signing for Tijuana. A year later, and Juninho returned to MLS on another loan deal, this time signing for the Chicago Fire. He played 21 times for the club in the 2017 season before then signing for the Galaxy once again after his contract with Tijuana came to a conclusion. To date, Juninho has played over 200 times in the league for the Galaxy, including winning those three MLS Cup titles.
