Two goals in a six-goal thriller sees Harry Shipp make this week’s list as he helped the Seattle Sounders to a point against the New England Revolution.

The midfielder opened the scoring inside the opening two minutes on Saturday afternoon, as he latched on to Jordan Morris’s ball across the box to tap home at the far post. By the interval, the Revolution had turned the game around and were ahead, thanks to strikers from English defender Michael Mancienne and attacker Gustavo Bou.

The second half saw Seattle level the game, and it was Shipp who got his second of the match to bring the Sounders on par. The American got on to the end of Joevin Jones’ cross, after the wing-back had come on at the break, to head home to make it 2-2.

The Northwestern side then took the lead for a second time in the match, as Nicolas Lodeiro made it 3-2 within the next 90 seconds. However, the Sounders were unable to hold on for the victory as Carles Gil scored with three minutes of time left to equalise for the Revs.

With the point, Seattle move into second in the West, but remain just five points above the playoff line. They will be looking for more performances like this one from Shipp, as they aim for a third MLS Cup final in the last four years.
