The Brazilian-born midfielder started his professional career in Germany, playing for the Hamburger SV II team. He made the transition to the first team and played in the Bundesliga. Whilst there, he also made his mark on the international scene. Despite being Brazilian-born, Feilhaber lived in the US from the age of six and became a key part of the USMNT’s midfield. He was part of the side that won the CONCACAF Gold Cup, and Feilhaber scored the winning goal in the final in Chicago, as the USMNT defeated Mexico to lift the trophy.

After a season with Derby County, Feilhaber made the move to Denmark in the summer of 2008, signing for AGF Aarhus. He went on to play over 60 times for the club. The midfielder made the move to New England in 2011, playing over 50 times for the club in his two seasons with the Revolution before signing for Sporting KC.

In his first season in Kansas City, Feilhaber helped the team to the MLS Cup, scoring his penalty in the shootout. He went on to win the U.S. Open Cup with the team in both 2015 and 2017, before making the move to LAFC.

After spending the season with the expansion side, he then signed for Colorado Rapids at the start of 2019. Just four months later, Feilhaber was traded to Sporting KC and is one of several that now/still play for the 2013 MLS Cup winners.
