1. Kei Kamara

The second Colorado Rapids man on our list this week comes in at number one. Kei Kamara netted a hat-trick for the Rapids as they hit six past the Montreal Impact on Saturday evening. The forward is now fifth on the all-time goals list in MLS, but this was, perhaps surprisingly, only the second hat-trick of his top-flight career. His night against the Impact did not start in the best of fashions, though, as he put through his own net to give the visitors an early lead. From then on, however, he stole the show.

After a second own goal had levelled the scoring, which he was heavily involved in manufacturing, Kamara netted twice at the right end before the break. The Sierra Leonean converted from the spot to give Colorado the lead, before then scoring the first of two goals his side scored in first-half stoppage time. Kamara then scored this trademark header as he beat Impact Evan Bush to a cross to take the match ball home.

The Rapids striker has now scored ten goals for five different MLS clubs, having netted double figures for Sporting KC (39), Columbus Crew (32), New England Revolution (19), Vancouver Whitecaps (14) and now the Rapids (11).

With 123 goals to his name, Kamara will continue to be the main man for the Rapids this term, and they will need his goals if they are to climb off the bottom of the West and rise into a playoff place come the end of the regular season.
