MLS: Top 5 performances from Week 22

2. Marco Fabian
One of the last games of the weekend saw the Eastern Conference-leading Philadelphia Union get back to their best, as they put D.C. United to the sword. And Mexican international Marco Fabian was the pick of the bunch for the Union, the designated player heavily involved as his Union struck five past the team from the capital on Sunday evening.
It took the midfielder less than three minutes to have an impact when he set up Alejandro Bedoya for the opening strike. In first-half stoppage time, Fabian then got on the scoresheet himself with this glorious strike of the ball from just inside the penalty area.
With twenty minutes left, and the game at 3-1, Fabian stepped up to score the knockout blow, with a lovely bit of skill inside the area, before he finished past D.C. goalkeeper Bill Hamid to make it four.
Fabian now has six goals on the year, with that assist being his first in MLS. If the Mexican maestro can continue to play the way he has done recently, the Union could find themselves looking at a deep playoff run come October and November.
