4. Jack Price

The first of two Colorado Rapids stars on this week’s top five list is an English midfielder who has played over 50 times for the club in the last 18 months. Jack Price came to MLS from Wolverhampton Wanderers, who now play in the Premier League, and his vision and passing range has been key to any Rapids success.

This week, Colorado fired six goals past the Montreal Impact, the first time they had struck six past an opponent in a regular-season MLS clash.

There were two own goals early in the clash, with Kei Kamara then scoring hat-trick. And Price was instrumental throughout. His first assist came through this lovely corner kick delivery, which Diego Rubio finished off with a great header.

The Impact then scored twice to make it 4-3, but Price then assisted the Rapids’ last two goals as they took the 6-3 win. The English midfielder’s second assist of the night set up Andre Shinyashiki, before he then set up Kei Kamara for his hat-trick goal.

Price now has eight assists on the year for Colorado, and for a team that currently sits bottom of the Western Conference, they will be looking to him, among others, to start turning their fortunes around if they want post-season football in 2019.
