RW – Kevin Molino – Minnesota United (MLS)

Playing down the right wing in their opening MLS match was Trinidad and Tobago midfielder Kevin Molino, who only played seven times in 2015 before suffering a serious injury, causing him to miss the rest of the season.

His professional career started in his native Trinidad and Tobago, playing for both San Juan Jabloteh and Ma Pau SC in the TT Pro League before the made the move north to the United States.

Molino started for Orlando City when they were still in the United Soccer League (USL). He signed for the club in 2011, going on to play over 100 times for the side whilst they were in the USL. During those four years, the Lions won the USL Pro Cup twice, with Molino also being crowned USL Pro MVP in 2012 and 2014. In his last season in USL, the midfielder broke the single-season scoring record, tallying 20 goals.

The Trinidad and Tobagan played in Orlando’s first-ever MLS game as he made the move up to the top flight with the club. Unfortunately for him, he suffered a torn ACL having played just seven games that season.

Molino came back to play 30 games in the 2016 campaign, before signing for expansion side Minnesota United for their first MLS season. The midfielder played another 30 times for the Loons in his first season. He suffered another torn ACL, this time his other knee, after just two games of the 2018 campaign, but Molino has returned to form during the 2019 campaign with the Loons.
