RB – Rafael Ramos – FC Twente (Eredivisie, NED)

At right-back on March 8, 2015 for Orlando was Rafael Ramos. He was in the side for the majority of the season as the Lions narrowly missed out on the playoffs come the end of the campaign. The Portuguese full-back joined Orlando City for his first steps in professional football, with the team in the USL for their final campaign in the league, having spent the majority of his youth career with Sporting CP and Benfica.

Ramos played 25 games in Orlando’s inaugural season in the top flight, having made the move up to MLS with the Lions from USL, whilst making his first appearance for the Portugal U-20 side that same year.

The defender then spent some time with Orlando’s B team before making the move to Chicago Fire for the 2018 season. After playing only three games for the Fire, the Portuguese player moved to the Netherlands, signing for FC Twente.

After signing for the former Dutch Champions in August, Ramos helped the side to win the Eerste Divisie in 2019. The defender will be looking to keep his place as the starting right-back for the Dutch side in their first season back in the fop flight in 2019-20.
