1. What about Jonathan Osorio?
With a healthy, well-rested squad at his disposal, I expect manager Greg Vanney to field his best eleven in 4-2-3-1 as follows:

Star playmaker Jonathan Osorio is the most glaring omission from my projected starting line-up. Even though the Brampton native was one of Toronto FC’s most dangerous attacking players prior to his departure for the Gold Cup, he has rarely featured since returning, starting just one of the last four matches.
Nevertheless, Osorio could be granted an unexpected start in the number 10 role provided Alejandro Pozuelo has not fully recovered from the ankle injury he suffered against the New York Red Bulls last week. Having been deployed on the left-wing in the past, I would also not be surprised to see Osorio displace the aforementioned Shaffelburg if Vanney wants to add a new wrinkle to the attack with Osorio operating in the left-inside channel, while left-back Justin Morrow provides width via overlapping runs.
Osorio was one of Toronto FC’s most effective players in the attacking third before representing Canada in the Gold Cup. It will be fascinating to see what role, if any, Osorio plays when Toronto FC host FC Cincinnati on Saturday night.
