Justin Morrow – Serge Ibaka

Both Justin Morrow and Serge Ibaka were brought to the Raptors and Reds respectively for their defensive abilities, but they have both provided so much more during these past few seasons.

Serge Iblockya, as he is known in some circles, has been a top tier rim protector ever since he debuted in the NBA for the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2009. Down the stretch for the Raptors this season, however, he has become more of an offensive threat, pouring in 20 points in the Raptors’ critical Game 4 victory over the Warriors in Oakland, and another 15 points in the championship-clincher.

Morrow’s career has followed a similar trajectory. Originally brought in to defend defend defend, Morrow has proven that he is a viable option further up the pitch as well. His runs up the touchline to deliver crosses have become the stuff of legend with TFC. Morrow has even garnered some starts in midfield recently, giving him even more opportunities to grow his offensive prowess.
