Jozy Altidore – Pascal Siakam

Jozy Altidore and Pascal Siakam share a rare quality: they combine intrinsic beauty with alarming power. As far as Altidore goes, there is no mistaking him when he is on the pitch.

More from MLS Multiplex

TFC’s leading goal scorer (tied with Alejandro Pozuelo), he hulks over opposing defenders while possessing the footwork of a ballerina and elite finishing skills. Yes, some of his runs are brutish and yes he gets carried away sometimes, but, ultimately, Altidore possesses immense quality that is hard to match on a league-wide scale.

Meanwhile, Siakam brings a similar skill set to the hardwood. While his shooting from the corner needs work and he can be prone to the typical mental lapses of a young player, Siakam’s ability to drive in the paint and seemingly float up to the rim make him a challenge for even the best defenders to guard. His length and athleticism allow him to cover ground quicker than the average power forward and his post moves are developing nicely.

In summary, both Siakam and Altidore are offensive threats that can get in over their own heads at times. Two peas in a pod.
