5. Open Cup 2012: Dayton Dutch Lions 2-1 Columbus Crew

This one is incredible for a variety of reasons.

Firstly, the Dayton Dutch Lions was staring in the face of an expected defeat at the Crew Stadium, with just 11 minutes to go.  However, in the dying embers, Gerrit-Jan Bartels and Gibson Bardsley slotted home two quick-fire goals, leaving Columbus Crew stunned.

Secondly, what made this one even more spectacular was that the Lions were yet to win a single game against any USL Pro team up until that point, making the victory even more shocking.

Thirdly, it was in the Crew’s backyard. Now that is a true upset.
